Are we missing something?

Four Queens Resort & Casino is another Downtown Las Vegas casino located on the Fremont Street Experience, which is North of the Las Vegas Strip. Next to it on the West is Golden Nugget Las Vegas Hotel & Casino and to the East is The D Las Vegas. Directly across the street on the other side of Fremont is the Fremont Hotel & Casino.

Construction for the Four Queens property first started in 1964, and on June 2, 1966, the casino officially opened for business in Downtown Las Vegas. It is named after the builder Ben Goffstein’s four daughters, Hope, Michele, Faith, and Benita. The original design only consisted of 120 rooms, which covered roughly 20,000 square feet, however, an 18-story hotel building was eventually added to the property.

The casino and hotel has transferred ownership a few times over the years. Between 1972 and 2003 it was owned by the Elsinore Corporation, originally a subsidiary of the Hyatt Corporation until 1979 when it became a fully independent company. In 2003, the Elsinore Corporation sold their ownership stake to TLC Enterprises. Today, TLC Enterprises is still the owner of the casino and hotel.

With renovations in 1976, 1977, 1981, 1999, 2001, 2005, 2007, and 2009, Four Queens now contains 690 hotel rooms, a second 18-story hotel tower, and an expanded casino floor that measures to about 50,000 square feet. Four Queens is also across from their sister property, Binion’s Gambling Hall, which is also located on the Fremont Street Experience.

If you are staying at the hotel there is parking and valet parking available. It is best to check with the hotel for updated rates, but you can expect to pay a small fee, around $3 to $5 per day for parking as parking is limited downtown. There are also surface lots available elsewhere downtown, which allow you to park for up to $10 or $15 for the day.

Also, if you are looking to stay at Four Queens there is no resort fee. This is by far one of the better attributes as it is pretty rare to find a hotel in Las Vegas that does not charge a resort fee on a per night basis.

Casino at Four Queens

[table “” not found /]
Four Queens casino has a reasonable selection of table game and slot machine options to choose from. You will find Blackjack, Blackjack Switch, Pai Gow Poker, Craps, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, and Let It Ride. Four Queens also has a dedicated Keno lounge.

The casino floor is kind of small and old, but at the end of the day there is enough space to move around comfortably. There are no baccarat tables, however, and the rules and games found on the floor are not the best for table game players. However, you will certainly be able to find $5 minimum tables, especially for blackjack.

Overall, we would not recommend spending too much time at this casino. It is very much a low-end casino relative to others (in terms of the clientele and the overall atmosphere). Additionally, the dealers and floor personnel who work there are just okay. Another thing to note is that this casino has no affiliation with any other casinos or player rewards programs.

Baccarat at Four Queens

Unfortunately, Four Queens does not offer baccarat as part of their table game offering on the casino floor.

Blackjack at Four Queens

The blackjack at Four Queens is definitely subpar. During our visit we only saw one gaming running that was paying 3:2 and it was an eight-deck game. The rest of the tables were pretty unfavorable, but you can find games with $5 minimum wagers. Four Queensalso offers blackjack switch, a variation of blackjack invented by Geoff Hall in 2009.

Craps at Four Queens

The odds for craps at Four Queens is 5x and typically the max limit is $500, with minimums as low as $5. If you are looking for better craps in the downtown area we recommend you visit Golden Gate, which has 10x odds and is not too far from Four Queens on the Fremont Street Experience.

Roulette at Four Queens

During our visit, an active roulette table could not be found on the casino floor at Four Queens.

Other Table Games at Four Queens

Four Queens offers additional table games beyond just blackjack and craps.

– Let It Ride
– Mississippi Stud
– Pai Gow Poker
– Three Card Poker
– Ultimate Texas Hold’em

High Limit Room at Four Queens

There is no high limit room at Four Queens, which is yet another drawback of this casino. However, we are not too surprised as this casino caters towards smaller limit players.

Slots at Four Queens

Perhaps one of the few positives with Four Queens is their slot machine selection. With over 1,000 gaming machines you certainly should be able to find something you want to play. Including favorites such as Wheel of Fortune, Deal or No Deal, Monopoly, and Megabucks. Wager limits for slots at Four Queens starts as little as $0.01.

Four Queens is also home to one of the largest slot machines in the world, the Queen’s Pull or the Queen’s Machine. It stands ten feet tall and nine feet wide. With a jackpot of $50,000 many travel to Four Queens to take their chance at winning.

The slot machine is large enough to accommodate six players at the same. But, be careful as some have been known to injure themselves inadvertently playing this machine due to its size.

High Limit Slots at Four Queens

Four Queens offers high limit stakes for many of their slot machines on the main gaming floor. However, as we previously mentioned, there is no designated high limit room for table games or slots.

Video Poker at Four Queens

Another positive at Four Queens is the video poker. With seven different variations and payback as high as 100.17% on one of the Double Bonus games, we were pleased with the video poker offering on the casino floor.

Wager limits across the video poker games range from $0.05 to $1 and no machine was less than 98.91% return. You will find games such as Jacks or Better and Double Double Bonus, and much like all casinos in Las Vegas if you are playing video poker you will likely receive comp drinks.

Poker Room at Four Queens

There is no active poker room at Four Queens. To the best of our knowledge, the poker room closed at Four Queens somewhere in the early 2000’s around 2004 as that is one of the last years that the Four Queens Poker Classic event was active.

Sportsbook at Four Queens

The sportsbook at Four Queen is more like a kiosk or betting counter. To reiterate, you can place sports bets at Four Queens, however, if you are looking for a good atmosphere, several televisions, multiple food options, and want to watch a game or two we would not recommend that you go to Four Queens’ sportsbook.

While it is run by William Hill, it is essentially next to nothing as it is located right in the middle of the casino near the Keno lounge. You can easily miss it as it is super small and surrounded by slot machines. The betting board is not easily viewable and there is very little seating available.

Hotel at Four Queens

Below are the current room options available to book at Four Queens Resort & Casino.

– South Tower Premium Room
– South Tower Accessible Room
– North Tower Standard Room
– Royal Suite
– Regal Suite

Easily one of the better aspects of the hotel at Four Queens is the fact that they do not have a resort fee. Many Las Vegas hotels and casinos are now incorporating large resort fees in addition to the nightly rate and those fees can easily add up each night. At Four Queens, the room rate does not carry that extra fee and includes WiFi.

One thing to consider is that this hotel is old and the rooms are nothing too spectacular or fancy. If you choose to stay here you will not see brand new upgrades and features throughout, however, the nightly rates are reasonable. Check-in starts at 4pm and you will need to check-out by 12pm.

The South Tower Premium Room comes with either one king bed or two queen beds and is the smallest room type at the hotel at 325 square feet. We have seen rates for this room as low as $42 per night, but typically you can expect to pay around $100 or $150 per night it just depends on the time of year and the number of beds you wish to book.

The South Tower Accessible Rooms are available with two full sized beds and are approximately 328 square feet. You can expect to pay a similar rate to the premium room, which is around $100 to $150 per night depending on availability, room type, etc.

The North Tower Room is a bit smaller at approximately 290 square feet. You have the option to book this room with one king bed or two double beds and the price range varies. But again, expect to see it around $100 to $150 during busier times of the year and cheaper rates are available during the weekdays or less busy months.

The Royal Suite is 620 square feet and offers a separate sitting area and a wall mounted 55″ HD flat screen TV. You can expect to pay anywhere between $150 to $250 per night. The Regal Suite is slightly larger at 650 square feet and includes a bar with a sink. The nightly rate for this suite typically sits between $165 and $285 per night.

Spa and Fitness Center at Four Queens

There is no spa or fitness center at Four Queens. However, you can access the pool at their sister property, Binion’s, across the street. The pool is located on the 25th floor and offers great views of Las Vegas.

Restaurants & Bars at Four Queens

There are only a few options to drink and dine at Four Queens. They include Hugo’s Cellar, Magnolia’s Veranda, Chicago Brewing Company, and Patio Bar.

Of all these options Hugo’s seems to be the most upscale and expensive. They offer steak, seafood, and delicious dessert options. They are open 5pm to 10pm and reservations are strongly recommended.

Magnolia’s Veranda is open 24 hours a day. The menu includes breakfast, sandwiches, salads, pizza, and more all at affordable price points.

Chicago Brewing Company specializes in serving beer and in particular micro-brews. You can dine off their bar menu which includes appetizers, pizza, and entrees.

Canyon Club at Four Queens

The Canyon Club is a small entertainment space inside Four Queens which includes a performance stage and table seating. Typically, local and amateur comedians and musicians are booked to entertain. If you are looking for a more premium option in terms of entertainment we recommend heading to the strip.
