Online Poker Waste Of Time
Posted : admin On 7/24/2022Jurgen Klopp has said it is a “waste of time” attempting to persuade the football authorities and broadcast rights holders to review the match schedule after Liverpool were handed two games in less than 72 hours in the December fixture list.

Klopp has been a vocal critic of the demands placed on players by the scheduling of games this season, blaming the television companies for failing to consider the need for rest and recovery when selecting games for live broadcast.

With Liverpool travelling to Brighton on Saturday for the early kick-off, Klopp made several changes to his team for Wednesday’s Champions League Group D defeat at home to Atalanta in order to safeguard against injury and burn-out within his squad.

But with the Premier League confirming on Thursday that Liverpool will play Tottenham at Anfield on Dec. 16 before travelling to Crystal Palace for an early kick-off on Dec. 19, Klopp has said that his attempts to force a change have been pointless.
“When I speak about it, it is about issues that affect all teams and players, not only ours,” Klopp said at a news conference on Friday. “But at the moment, it is only us and it’s like that until the end of the year — it is only us for the Wednesday games [followed by the early Saturday game].
“So yeah, obviously whatever I say doesn’t help, so I will stop talking about it. That’s how it is, they change nothing, so why should you speak? It’s just a waste of time.
“The last thing I want to do is create a headline and you say: ‘I give up.’ Look, I speak about these things in a general way because it is a general problem.
“My problem now is to prepare a team, but that we have the only other spot [early kick-offs] in December is a fact.
“You have to ask other people why they do that, but I don’t have the answer because we are not involved in these decisions.”
Liverpool travel to Brighton with midfielders Thiago Alcantara, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Xherdan Shaqiri and Naby Keita all ruled out due to injury.
But captain Jordan Henderson could return after being sidelined since being injured on international duty with England earlier this month.
“Hendo trained yesterday, part of team training and then an individual session,” Klopp added. “But all the other players are still in recovery. That’s how it is with so few days of recovery.”
Today I lost $200 on 4/8 Omaha poker. On Sep. 23, 2009, I lost $220. That might not sound much but that works out to $30 per month in 14 months. Another way to look at that is free cable or cell phone service for over a year! The money is not the issue but the fact that I broke a promise to myself is. (For what's worth, I lost another $200 two days later I posted this blog.) I haven't been back since, though.)
I read two books on Omaha poker, also read numerous articles on the Internet and watched many videos on it. I applied the theories and still lost. I learned how to be patient, play my premium structured hands. For example, I played suited face cards and AA XX suited. Flop comes 6 7 8, unsuited. Then what? Right. I had nothing to play with. This happened over and over again. Then I played loose and got hammered. I turned locksmith (played very tight) and got hammered by baby straights and flushes.
I got this crazy idea in my head that I would win $50 a day and make extra income on the side. Then maybe after a few months make $500 a day, then $5,000 a day. It's that irrational train of thought that compulsive gamblers indulge in. While I was preparing myself to play poker, I was very anxious and neglected the smallest daily chores--such as showering and lifting weights. All I could do was think about going to the casino and playing out the hands and scenarios in my mind. It is a very destructive state of mind to think about things I have no control over. I have no control over what cards are going to be dealt to me. No control over how people will bet.
I've learned that no matter what strategy I employed, if the cards are not there, I didn't win. It's a game of luck as every one who plays with eventually gain the set set of skills.

I felt very frustrated and angry and worthless after I lost the money. I was, however, able to walk out with $16 and enjoyed a meal of hot wings. I left a $6 tip for the waitress on a $10 bill. While eating I thought about all the poker players that were in the poker room and they all seemed down and out on their luck. I couldn't imagine myself being in their situation, so I worked up the courage to walk out with that $16. I saw the same faces as I did over a year ago in the poker room. I wonder how these people funded their gambling as casinos make enormous profits on poker. Take for example, the casino overhead of the casino I was at. The poker room had 6 staff members. They have to pay their wages, rent for the room, power and utilities, taxes, donate to charity, give the government a share and still make a profit. It is like a license to print money. The rake is very hard to overcome in the long-run.
If people could make money gambling, no one would have to work.
I don't want to feel like I did today, as I have many times in the past. I will do my best not to place another bet in a gambling establishment.
